The early bird catches the worm. By visiting my favorite local lake in the early morning hours, you sometimes get rewarded with this beautiful fog on the surface, making these Great crested grebes (Podiceps cristatus) and the Mute swane (Cygnus olor) appear in this very mystical light.

Quark! The Edible frog (Pelophylax esculentus) is actually a hybrid frog. It's a mixture between pool frogs and marsh frogs.
